Thoughts on the NFL implementing an 18 game schedule?

Recently, the NFL has contemplated on implementing an 18 game season in place of the current 16 game season. This would reduce preseason play by 2 games. Many players seem to not be in favor of this new "improvement." Let me know your thoughts on a potential 18 game season and what consequences may come from this! Thanks for posting!

  1. The current four game preseason represents a quarter of the regular season (16/4=4). For the first two to three preseason games, you will be lucky to see the starters play more than a half. I believe it would shake things up a little more if they went 18. I'm all for it. More revenue for the league, more excitement for the fans, more possibilities for injuries/exciting plays/whatever else. Teams also have less time to prepare and determine roster cuts, so it will heat up the waiver wire and you'll see a lot of mid season signings actually turn into "diamonds in the rough." Kinda like Danny Woodhead and New England this year. Let's go for it.
